How to Take Diuretics to Lose Weight

Step-by-step Instructions

Here is what you need to do...
Step 1

Every now and then you'll find yourself holding a lot of extra water around the tummy area. Usually that's no problem- unless you're planning a trip to the beach or you're a few days away from a photoshoot. In these cases, some people indulge in taking diuretics in order to flush all the extra water out of their body. Below I'll list a few different options for diuretics, all personally tried by me at some point in time. Take a look

Step 2

First we'll look at Prime Nutrition's Waterloss product. This product lasts for about a month and a half and it gets the job done. You simply take one scoop in the morning and one scoop at night, and after a few days the water will be noticeably flushed from your body. You'll feel tighter around the core area and your body will remain feeling healthy.

Step 3

The second product I've listed is Pharmafreak's Ripped Freak diuretic. This diuretic comes in capsules and claims to be the only one on the over-the-counter market that has the correct ingredients to produce prime results. They recommend taking 4 capsules in the morning and 4 in the afternoon, with the option of taking 4 more at night. The directions list the amount of water that should be consumed alongside the diuretic and the ingredients are straightforward. This diuretic always gave me the best results, and since it's powerful, I never took it for more than a few days at a time.

Step 4

Next up is Muscleology's DPXCUTS, which also comes in capsule form. DPXCUTS is a little less serious than Ripped Freak, but it still gets the job done. They recommend taking 2-pill incriments with a maximum of 6 pills every 24 hours. These can be taken for a week straight, but rarely will you want to flush for that long. They do the trick and they keep the body feeling healthy- a good diuretic for your average guy.

Step 5

The final product I've listed is Allmax Nutrition's Hydradry. Hydradry comes in tablet form and it is recommended to be cycled throughout 14 days. Hydradry gave me some results, but not much. That being said, every person reacts differently to every supplement. For other people I've met, Hyrdradry is the route they always take. The ingredients in Hydradry are relatively similar to all of the other brands that I've listed below, and the results weigh in the balance of the beholder.

Step 6

I'd like to end this tip by saying that I am not, under any circumstances, personally recommending that you take diuretics. If you choose to do so on your own merit, I've simply given you a list that can be used in order for you to figure out what is the best route for yourself. Diuretics are a very serious supplement, and taking them should not come lightly. If you do decide to indulge in any of these, or other diuretics, consult your doctor and ask about the ins and outs of diuretic use.

Special Attention

Difficulties people often experience or parts that need special attention to do it right.

Taking diuretics is serious business. You will deprive your body of precious H2O and you have the potential to cause damage. In order to take diuretics correctly, consult a doctor and make sure that the brand you're choosing is right for you. If you aren't very attentive to the process of taking diuretics, you might find yourself losing a lot more than just extra water.

Funny or interesting story about this topic...

All seriousness aside, I have a funny story about one of the first times I took diuretics. I was preparing for an underwear shoot and, as always, leaning down was my top priority. I had used diuretics before, but this time I switched the brand up. I didn't consider that the time-period would change from brand to brand, so I took this new diuretic the exact same way I took the old one. Turns out I jumped the gun- I lost all the water I could and I still had 2 days left until the shoot. After the cycle was over, water started coming back into my body big time. By the time the shoot rolled around I looked as waterlogged as a cushion left out in the rain. I had to reschedule the shoot because I looked That Bad. But in the end all I could say as oh well; you live and you learn, right?

When did you first do this & how did you get started?

My first involvement with diuretics was during my modeling days. I would prepare for photoshoots by losing a lot of water in the few days before I got in front of the camera. I almost always got great results from diuretics, but that's because I consulted my doctor about how to take them correctly and whether or not they'd work well with my body. If losing weight fast is the goal, diuretics will do the trick. Just make sure you stay smart and stay safe. I'm serous! Happy lifting
