Step 1

Like I said, there is 20, 30 guys - and I have gotten to know these guys that I show up and see at every audition. We know each other because we fit that type. The lead characters specifically for that role. All between 5' 7" and 5' 11", 160 pounds, kind of european type skin, short brown hair, whatever it is.

Step 2

So, you need to separate yourself. When you move out to LA, you never think of that stuff. When I was in Cleveland or Columbus, you get a lot of compliments about things that you have no control over. And it is a necessity for certain things. Now, don't get me wrong, all the good looking guys don't get all the roles or else there would not be any Chris Farleys, there would not be any John Candys, All those types are still needed as well.

Step 3

However, you can get that mindset that I am good looking or I'm ripped, or I am faster, whatever. Because there are a ton of people like you. You have to separate yourself, and that is what you really learn when you go to an LA, New York, Miami, Vancouver. Some of those people get it, and some of those people don't. The ones who don't get it run out of money and end up moving back home.

Step 4

The ones who do get it, they got the job that allows them to flexible time schedule, they have the work ethic they need, they get the training, they do the class schedule, or whatever they need to get the job one. So, they can book jobs, be different from everybody else. Stand out and ultimately make a living doing what they want to do.
