How To Run Lacrosse Wall Ball Drills
Step-by-step Instructions
Here is what you need to do...
Step 1
Stand 8-10 yards away from the wall.
Step 2
Find a spot on the wall a few feet above your head. This is your target.
Step 3
Place the correct foot forward pointing your toes at the wall (Right handed use left foot and left handed use right foot).
Step 4
Square up your shoulders to the wall (face the wall).
Step 5
With the ball in your stick and in proper throwing motion (See "How To Pass and Catch.") throw the ball at your target, catch it, and repeat. Recommended repetitions are 50 dominate hand followed by 50 off hand.
Special Attention
Difficulties people often experience or parts that need special attention to do it right.
If this is the first time ever throwing a lacrosse ball it will take some time to become comfortable using a wall, but I promise it will get better each time you practice. Go ahead and stand a little closer and just get the feel of releasing the ball from the stick and watching it back into it. See "Hot to throw and catch" for more specific instructions.

Funny or interesting story about this topic...
Be careful when throwing against any wall! It's important to use a wall that is solid (not hollow) and made of brick and/or concrete, and definitely not near ANY windows. I made this mistake the first time I practiced. Let's just say my mom wasn't too happy with me.
When did you first do this & how did you get started?
The first time I practiced on a wall was in middle school when my coach told me it was the best way to better my stick handling ability becoming comfortable using both hands. I wanted to get better, and this was the best way on my own outside or team practice.
