How To Be a Baseball Pitcher
Step-by-step Instructions
Here is what you need to do...
Step 1
You cannot become a good baseball pitcher over night. It takes years of dedicated work. My number one suggestion to someone trying to become a pitcher is to find the best pitching coach in your area and begin private lessons.
Step 2
One thing that helped me to become a successful pitcher was a pitching book. This book taught me how to throw different pitches, gave me weightlifting exercises, and drills that I could do on my own that helped me develop proper pitching mechanics. The book also contained numerous tips from top pitchers in the MLB at that time. The book that I used was the "Louisville Slugger Complete Book of Pitching" which is available on Amazon.com for around $13.00.
Step 3
Do something everyday to make yourself a better pitcher. You do not have to throw everyday but do some of the drills your private instructor gives you and the drills from the pitching book everyday to develop proper mechanics. Most of the drills can be done in your backyard or even in your living room while you're watching tv
Special Attention
Difficulties people often experience or parts that need special attention to do it right.
It is worth the investment to purchase a pitching book. You cannot fit all you need to know about learning how to pitch from a single internet page.

This Student Author's Background
When did you first do this & how did you get started?
I first started working as a pitcher when I was 9 years old. Me and my dad always worked on being a pitcher as far back as I can remember. 9 year old leagues were the first years players were allowed pitching to each other. This is also the year I began private pitching lessons.
