How to Improve Muscle Endurance
Step-by-step Instructions
Here is what you need to do...
Step 1
Get your strength up. Simple and easy. You need to worry about getting the muscle before you can worry about how long it takes to fatigue.
Step 2
Find a solid Volume training program. There are tons of workout routines that pride themselves off being high "volume" or high "intensity". To increase endurance. Your looking for a routine with Moderate to high reps. High Numbers of Sets, and most importantly, shortened rest periods. This going to really focus on getting the muscle burned out to its maximum capacity, even though it may not seem as if your throwing up as much weight as physically possible. Try dumbbell curling 35 lbs. for 20 sets of 10 reps with a timed, 30 second rest period between each set, then try and tell volume training is easy.
Step 3
Write it down. Keep track of where you start. It'll come in handy for the next step as well as for all them gains your going to be making.
Step 4
Push it. Hard. Just like any routine. Your going to get used to it. But, the most important thing you can do for yourself as well as continuing to increase that endurance, is to really push yourself every time you step in the gym. Whether that means adding 2 or 3 more reps on the end of each set. Or adding 2.5 lbs. more to your bench than the last time you did your chest routine.
Special Attention
Difficulties people often experience or parts that need special attention to do it right.
Use a spotter on the chest and leg days. For those exercises like the bench and squat. Your going to have trouble finishing those last few reps, so grab a partner or a spotter so you can go all out and really rip up those muscles.
