Isometric Neck Exercise - Front And Back
Differentiation: Mechanics
This variation of a Neck exercise is unique from other Neck exercises. Here is how: you move your head forwards and backwards. This movement builds the strength of your neck.
Location: anywhere
Force: Static
Body Position: Standing
Starting Position
To get into starting position, do this...
1) Locate an area of the gym with ample floor space to perform the exercise.
2) Stand with your feet slightly apart
3) ...and your hands on your forehead, fingers locked
4) ...or your hands behind your head, fingers locked.
5) ...and elbows flared out.
Main Mechanics
Once in starting position, do this...
1) This is the starting position.
2) Flex your neck muscles to push your head forward against your fingers, creating resistance.
3) Hold this position for a count of one second.
4) Then, relax your neck muscles slowly.
5) Then, lock your fingers behind your head

7) ...and push your head backward
8) Repeat reps for a full set.
