Subhi Abukhdeir's Involvement in Greek
Interview Questions
When did you first get started in Greek?
My freshman year in college
Something surprising about Greek that people would not know.
Its not ALL a big party, we do other things like community service and support other groups on the campus as well. Greek life supports greek life, its not like we hate anyone not in our fraternity, only some guys are like that.
What is Greek like?
Its an opportunity to learn new things as well as an opportunity to meet fun new people. Some people think its like "buying" friends, but its not, its creating a bond between a group of people who share similar interests based on personal experience, a bond stronger than friendship. So yes, you do pay dues and all that, but its the same thing as paying tuition for college, you meet new people while paying for the opportunity to learn something you didnt know before. Everyday is a new experience, so treat every day like you know nothing and your sure to learn something new!
Tell your Fans a funny or interesting story about Greek
Wow, theres a lot, too many really, lets just say theres never a dull moment with your fraternity. One funny moment though is at our school we have an event called the "big man on campus" and one person represents each fraternity/sorority, and well, our representative is overly "big boned" and he went on stage in a speedo dancing around with ribbons to "everytime we touch".
