This variation of a leg raise is unique. Here is how: you lift your legs against gravity while lying flat on a bench. This position works your lower abs

Starting Position
To get into starting position, do this...
1) Locate a movable flat bench.
2) Lie on your back lengthwise on the flat bench - with your lower legs extended straight off one end
3) Place your arms at your sides...
4) ...and grip the sides of the bench for stability
5) ...and lock your knees.
Main Mechanics
Once in starting position, do this...
1) This is the starting position.
2) Exhale as you raise your legs straight up...
3) ...until they make a 90-degree angle with the bench and floor.
4) Hold this position for a count of one second.
5) This is the ending position.
6) Then, lower your legs - until they are again level with the bench and floor using a slow and controlled movement.
7) Repeat reps for a full set.
Proper Form
Pay special attention to following proper form by...
Use a controlled motion to target your lower abs.
Your knees should remain slightly bent throughout the motion.
