After you obtain your first paying modeling job, it is easier to get others because your appearance generates attention or exposure that sometimes translates into more modeling jobs because professionals see you in a campaign, and ask who the heck is he? They hire you because they saw you in an ad.

Additionally, appearing in one modeling job shows that you are professional and can be taken seriously. Saying that you are available is OK. But saying something is not proof. However, appearing in an ad shows that you were, in fact, available in the past for at least one modeling job!
