Student Finances

For most college students, money is tight. You're paying tuition, buying books, and paying for housing, food, and entertainment.  You can consider yourself lucky if you're still on your parents' insurance and cell phone plan, because expenses add up fast.

Welcome to reality.  This is pretty much how it works from here on out.  There's a certain amount of money and a whole bunch of things to spend it on.  Not to mention saving up for that big expense: a car, the security deposit on an apartment, Spring Break, whatever.  Think that's what credit cards are for?  You're in trouble already.

The sooner you learn how to manage your finances, the better.  A good place to start is Financial Basics: Money Management Guide for Students.
